Happy Valentine’s Day! In celebration we’re going to share one of the great Love at First Ave submissions. Below David shares his and Angela’s story:

I met Angela Saturday July 6th, 1991 in the Mainroom. I’d been a regular Ave rat for almost 10 years at that point, but this was a place she really never went. On a lark she and her girlfriend decided to come to dance. We caught each others eyes a few times across the floor and I knew I had to meet her. I was standing at the top of the ramp and she was standing in front of me…someone brushed by her, she looked back at me and smiled..and that was IT.
I bought her a drink..we danced the rest of the night. She gave me her number, knowing I’d never call, but we had a date the following saturday. We spent 3 years together then..and then split apart. She was always the one that got away  In December of 2009, after 16 years of no contact at all..I tracked her down through a name change and two continents, finding her in Perth, Australia. We exchanged emails for a few weeks, and when she came back for a planned family visit, we spent the next 6 weeks together. She eventually moved back to the States, and into my home. On December 26th of last year, we flew to vegas and got married. She held me to my 18 year old proposal.

I’ve had alot of amazing nights in the Entry and at the Ave..but nothing comes close to that Saturday night.

Doesn’t that just make you feel good? True love forever!
